God has created each of us to fulfill a specific role in His great Kingdom work, and He has uniquely SHAPE’d us for that purpose. This tool has been developed to help everyone at Grace Church discover their God-given SHAPE for serving Him and His people.
SHAPE is an acrostic, referring to your Spiritual Gifts (Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12), Heart (what you are passionate about), Abilities (natural skills and abilities), Personality, and Experiences (especially painful seasons of life).
If you do not know your dominant spiritual gifts, we have provided a basic "gifts assessment" tool for you. You can take the adult or youth assessment. The additional aspects of your SHAPE profile should have come from your time in the "Developing Your SHAPE to Serve Others" small group study. If your group hasn’t participated in that study yet, please contact Connect Leadership and request a copy.
Once you have entered all of your SHAPE information into the form, it will be submitted to our Volunteer Coordinator. Soon, we hope to have all of our serving opportunities identified by SHAPE so we can guide you toward potential matches for how the Lord has prepared you. Please keep in mind that your SHAPE is something to be discovered. This takes time and trial and error. Also, we are all works in progress as our abilities and life experiences change, even our passions. In the end, we trust that the Lord will bless our attempts to connect to His will for our lives and reveal the unique path which He has laid before our feet.
